A pair of fine, mid 18th century French Louis XV period 'Fauteuil Cabriolet' solid beechwood armchairs, decorated with haut-relief carved floral and foliate motifs and standing on elegantly shaped Cabriole legs, the seats and the shaped and concave backrests are fitted with hand-woven rattan cane. Please note the harmony of the 'movement' in the chairs and the elegance of their tall backs. Area of Paris, circa 1750.
