A fine and elegant 19th century French Louis XVI style, carved 'Salon Suite' comprising a canape, two fauteuil armchairs and two chairs, each standing on tapering and fluted legs, the timber frames decorated with hand carved lambs' tongue mouldings, the crests decorated with haut-relief carved, allegorical, crossed quiver and torch, acanthus leaf and knotted ribbon motifs. Please note the excellent walnut patination. Area of Paris, circa 1880.

Condition report: In good, as found condition, the fabrics requiring a steam clean.
Dimensions: Sofa length 130 cm, depth 60 cm, overall height 103 cm. Please note the good, low height of the sofa's seat (at 36 cm), which makes it comfortable to lounge on. Armchairs w 61 cm, d 53 cm, h 91 cm, h seats 43 cm. Chairs w 47 cm, d 42, h 91, h seats 43 cm
