A fine pair of 19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XVI style, solid walnut 'Fauteuil' armchairs of understated and masculine elegance, decorated with haut-relief carved Neoclassical motifs, including paterae, acanthus leaf and 'continuous-ribbon mouldings, standing on turned, tapering and fluted legs. Please note the wonderful Neo Classical proportions of these armchairs. Area of Paris, circa 1870.

Condition report: In excellent, as found condition. The French brocade fabric in very good condition.
Dimensions: Width 63 cm, depth 57 cm, height of seat 42 cm, height of backrest 91 cm.
