A fine pair of French Napoleon III period, Louis XVI style solid walnut Fauteuil armchairs of understated elegance, decorated with carved Neoclassical motifs including haut-relief 'paterae' and 'continuous-ribbon mouldings, standing on turned, tapering and fluted legs. Please note the good width and the wonderful and fine Classical proportions of these armchairs. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
