Two mid19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XVI style, finely carved walnut Fauteuil armchairs of wonderful quality and proportions. Decorated with Neoclassical elements, including paterae, string-of-pearl mouldings, acanthus leaf mouldings and fluting. Please note the very fine proportions and the crisp quality of the carved timbers. Area of Paris, circa 1870.

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition, showing wear suitable for age. The timber structures and the upholstery are in good condition, fabrics may still be re-usable after steam cleaning.
