A pair of 19th century French Louis XV style 'Fauteuil' armchairs, comfortable to sit on and elegantly carved, the shaped backrests and seats fitted with woven rattan. The armrests are upholstered, and the seats are fitted with removable, timber-bottomed squab-cushions, covered in the same leather as the arm rests. Please note the excellent proportions and the fine quality of the haut-relief carved decorations. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
