A rare, 19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XV style "Fauteuil de Cabinet" desk armchair of wonderful design and proportions, standing on five Cabriole legs, the carved solid walnut structure retaining an excellent, original patination. Decorated with finely carved haut-relief scrolled mouldings and floral with motifs. Fitted with a shaped upholstered seat and a curved and upholstered backrest. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition, requiring a wax and buff.
Dimensions: Width 70 cm, depth 57 cm, height of back 90 cm.
