A large, 19th century French Louis XVI style “Bergère en Gondole” armchair, the finely carved solid beechwood frame decorated with restrained Neoclassical haut relief-carved decorations. Very comfortable to sit in. Area of Paris, circa 1880.

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition, showing surface wear in keeping with its age. Requiring waxing and buffing, replacing of fabric cover.
Dimensions: Width 67 cm, height of backrest 105 cm.
