A Parisian Wing-back Armchair

A fine and large, 19th century French Louis XV style, finely carved and painted 'Bergere' wing-back armchair of well-proportioned design. Decorated with haut-relief carved mouldings patterns and with flower and foliate motifs. Broad, with a tall backrest, and made for sitting in great comfort. Area of Paris, circa 1880.

Condition report: In excellent and original, unrestored condition showing a nively-worn original finish. The fabric in usable condition, with no stains or tears.
