A large Louis XV Bergere Wing Armchair

A large and well-proportioned 19th century French Louis XV style, finely carved beechwood wing-back “Bergere a Oreilles” armchair. As is usually the cae, this armchair is upholstered with a separate down-feather seat cushion (for extra plushness), and the good width and depth ensure that it very comfortable to sit in. Please note the wonderful lean of the back-rest. Area of Paris, circa 1880. 

Condition report: In good and original condition, showing slight wear in keeping with its age. The fabric, of good quality, will need a steam clean, the timber surfaces need a wax and buff.
