A fine pair of 19th century French Napoleon III period 'Bergere' tub armchairs, the solid walnut and rosewood frames shaped decorated carved and inlaid with cross-banded walnut mouldings. These large and comfortable armchairs have a typical design of the Napoleon III period, including the extra broad backs and deep seats. Area of Paris, circa 1860. 

Please note: this pair of armchairs have now been stripped of the old upholstery, and are ready to reupholster.

Condition report: Complete and in good condition. Requiring polishing, repairs to caster wheels, reupholstery.
