A late 19th century French Louis XVI style finely carved and painted desk armchair, with elegant Neoclassical proportions. Fitted with a finely woven rattan seat and back. Lightweight and sturdy, and very comfortable to sit in. Area of Paris, circa 1880.

Condition report: In good and un-restored condition. Our workshop, on request, can give the painted surfaces worn and requiring a wash of colour to unify and brighten them, but keeping the finish with a sense of age.
