A Painted Louis XV Bergere Armchair

A 19th century French Louis XV style carved and painted Bergere 'tub' armchair, upholstered and studded in the 18th century style, fitted with a separate seat cushion for extra comfort. The original painted finish has a nicely worn and chalky patina. Area of Paris, circa 1880.

Condition report: in good, as found condition, retaining the original painted finish. The fabric may be usable after steam cleaning.
Dimensions: Width 74 cm, depth 50 cm, height of backrest 94 cm.
