A pair of 19th century French Louis XV style ‘Corbeille’ armchairs, the painted and parcel gilded frames decorated with haut-relief carved, stylised rock, foliate and seashell motifs. The curved backs fitted with finely woven rattan cane, the seats retaining their original squab cushions. The original finish is nicely worn. Very comfortable to sit on. Area of Paris, circa 1900.
