A pair of large, 19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XIV style carved walnut 'Fauteuils Cabriolet' armchairs of Parisian elegance. Please note the excellent quality of the carved and turned work on the arm-rests, on the legs and on the shaped stretchers. These armchairs are very comfortable to sit on. Provenance: a chateau in the area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1870.

Condition report: In good and original, as found condition. The fabric needs re-covering.
Dimensions: Width 64 cm, depth 70 cm, height of backs 107 cm. Seat height is 47 cm. Armrests are 69 cm high.
