A pair of fine, 19th century French Louis XVI style “Fauteuils a la Reine” walnut armchairs, the elegant medallion-backs with 'Cartouche' crests, above ample and comfortable seats with upholstered arms-rests. Standing on carved and fluted, tapering legs. Note the excellent, crisp quality of the carved laurel wreath and ribbon mouldings, and other Neoclassical decorations. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
