An fine 19th century French Louis XVI style carved and turned walnut Bergere armchair of understated elegance, the backrest and seat decorated with 'continuous ribbon' haut-relief carved mouldings, the arm rests with acanthus leaves, standing on finely turned and fluted legs. Note the exceptional width of this armchair. Paris, circa 1870.
