A pair of 19th century French Louis XVI style carved walnut Fauteuil armchairs of understated elegance. The shaped backs with finials and crests above a broad seat and arm-rests, above tapering, fluted legs. Note the Classical proportions and the masculine character of these armchairs. Area of Paris, circa 1880.

Condition report: In excellent, unrestored condition.
