An elegant and understated French Louis XVI period, faded solid walnut commode of three drawers of simple, Neoclassical design, the timbers very nicely burnished over time. Note the elegance of this commode with its unusual length, standing on fine, baluster-turned legs. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1780.

Condition report: In good and unrestored condition. A rarity to find a piece of this era in untouched condition. The drawers runners will require work, as will several small repairs.
