An early 18th century French Regence/Louis XV period three-seater canape, the seat and back-rest fitted with woven rattan, the shaped apron and arms, Cabriole legs, rails and the shaped frame of the back-rest finely are carved with haut-relief mouldings and with with floral decorations. Note the elegance and the excellent proportions of the back rest and of the eight Cabriole legs joined by 'X' stretchers, still very much an early, Regence design. Area of Paris, circa 1730.
Condition report: Complete, and in good and original, unrestored condition. Requiring some consolidating of structural joints and some repairs to the woven rattan.
