A large pair of 19th century French Henry II Renaissance style gilt bronze "pique-cierge" candelabra, the twist-turned pilasters standing on tripod claw feet decorated with gilt cartouches, the gilt finish nicely worn. Please note the jewellery-like quality of the cast, chased and parcel gilt work. Area of Isle de France, Greater Paris, circa 1880.
Condition report: In good and original condition, rewired to Australian safety standards using gold silk electrical cords with cord-switches.
