An early 19th century French circular tilt-top Vigneron (wine-maker's) solid oak and pine tilt-top table, the pine timbers of the top well-burnished and faded over time. Please note the lyre-shaped swivel mechanism that allows this table top to tilt. This type of table was designed to be easily transported and stowed away, and was primarily used for wine-tastings. There is ample leg-room under the top. Area of Burgundy, circa 1840.
