A pretty French 'Globe de Mariée', a marriage bouquet of dried flowers and wheat stalks under a cloche glass bell, standing on a purpose-made ebonised timber plinth. A 'Globe de Mariée' was traditionally kept as a souvenir of a couples' wedding day, with its allegorical references to Springtime fertility and to wealth for the home. Area of Normandy, circa 1900.
Condition report: In excellent and original, unrestored condition.
