A French majolica 'Soupière' soup tureen decorated with traditional Breton figures, hand painted against a white background with stylised flower and palmette motifs, the original lid topped by a handle. The underside signed Henriot Quimper. Area of Quimper, circa 1970.

If not used for serving soup at the dining table, this can be a wonderful 'vide-poches', a container near the front door into which to empty out your pockets of keys, coins, mobile phone.

Condition report: In good and original condition. No chips or cracks.
