Two fine pairs of identical 19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XVI style 'Fauteuil' armchairs of understated and masculine elegance, decorated with haut-relief carved Neoclassical motifs, including paterae and 'continuous-ribbon mouldings, standing on turned, tapering and fluted legs. Retaining a toile style fabric, in generally good condition. Please note the wonderful Neoclassical proportions of these armchairs. Area of Paris, circa 1870.

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition. Requiring small touch-ups to painted and gilt surfaces.
