An early 19th century French Empire period chest of drawers, the book-matched flame mahogany façade fitted with four drawers, flanked by pilasters fitted with finely cast, chased and gilt bronze capitols and plinths. The drawers retain the original pull-handles and key escutcheons. Retaining the original, dark grey 'Sainte Anne' marble top and all the original drawer locks. Area of Paris, circa 1810.
