A French Expressionist Movement oil on canvas painting depicting "Les Pêcheurs" (the fishermen), pictured here unloading their catch, with seawater and sail boats in the background. The scene relies heavily on vibrant, saturated blues, sea greens, and purples, dynamically broken up by the stark orange-red coat of the central figure. Signed Lavenne, on the bottom left hand.

André Louis Victor Lavenne (1893–1962) was a 20th-century Expressionist painter who exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants in Paris.
