An early 19th century French Louis Philippe period, book-matched walnut Armoire of Classical proportions, the façade decorated with two panelled doors. Internally fitted with shelves, and internal drawers. Retaining its original, luminous patination. Please note the design, which is a simplified version of the previous Napoleonic Empire style, and is a precursor of the later German Biedermeier style. Area of Paris, circa 1820.
This item is due in Melbourne in late 2026.
