A French Gien vase, the Classic baluster shaped and ribbed body decorated with hand painted peony flowers and foliate trellises. The 'Pivoines' patterns were first created in 1875 and have since become an iconic emblem of Gien’s hand-painted tradition. The underside is stamped with the Gien potteries' Castle hallmark. Area of Gien, circa 1960.

Condition report: In good and original, unrestored condition.
