A pair of large sized 19th century French Louis XVI style 'Bergères en Gondole' tub armchairs, the solid beechwood frames decorated with finely carved mouldings and with restrained Neoclassical haut relief-carved decorations. These armchairs are very comfortable to sit in. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
