A fine French Napoleon III period, Louis XVI style gilt mantle mirror, the well-moulded gilt frame with rounded top corners and decorated with egg-and-dart mouldings and an outsized and fretted seashell and foliate scroll motif crest, including cornucopias. The original gilding retains a good and soft patination. Area of Paris, circa 1860.
