An important, 19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XVI style two-tone mahogany and gilt bronze mounted 'Semainier' tallboy chest of eight drawers, of very good, Neoclassical proportions. Flanked by fluted pilasters, each of the drawers is decorated with gilt brass mouldings and is fitted with shaped handles and shield escutcheons. Retaining its original, shaped marble top. Paris, circa 1870.
