A 19th century French Napoleon III period cast iron umbrella and walking stick stand of fine quality, the upright structure composed of symmetrically-opposed volutes and foliate motifs, and incorporating a shaped, securing rail. The drip-tray is in the shape of a large, stylised conch shell. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
