A large, French oil on canvas landscape painting depicting a view from the Medieval 'Chateau de Caen' fortress and overlooking the town, with gardens and walkers in the foreground. Signed on the lower-right hand corner "J.P. Collin", the rear of the canvas dated 1993. Fitted into an elegant 19th century gilt pastille-work frame. 

Condition report: In good, unrestored condition.
