A large, 19th century French oil on canvas landscape painting depicting a busy French farm scene, the setting featuring a lake with farm animals and country houses in the foreground, a typical-looking French village and hills in the background. Signed on the bottom-right hand corner "Ed Adam" (Edmond Victor Charles Adam (1863–1938) and dated 1908. Ed Adam was renown for his paintings depicting steamers and sailing ships. Fitted into a moulded and gilt frame. Area of Le Havre, 1908.
Condition report: In good, unrestored condition. A repairable hole at top right. Please feel free to ask our workshop for a quote for restoration work.
