A large, mid 19th century French Napoleon III period cast iron crucifix, the cross decorated with a trellis of vines and flowers interspersed by chin, the plinth standing on a bed of thistles. Please note the crispness of the metal, cast in one single throw. Provenance: a deconsecrated chapel in Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1860.
Condition report: Complete and in good, unrestored condition.
