An early 19th century French Louis Philippe period silver gilt mirror of good, of Classical proportions and design, the silver-gilt frame is decorated with with etched foliate patterns, the original silver finish nicely worn. Please note that where the protective sandarac varnish has crackled over time, the silver has now developed beautiful, black tarnish lines. Fitted with its original mirror plate. Area of Paris, circa 1830.
