A 19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XV style, cross-banded 'Bois-de-Violette', gilt bronze mounted and 'Rouge de France' marble Semainier chest of drawers, of exceptional quality. The bottom four drawers are in fact, pull-out drawers. The top three drawers open as a fall-front desk with internal compartments and drawers. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
