A French Louis XVI style 'commode' chest of three drawers, of masculine and Neoclassical elegance. Retaining its original, shaped and moulded 'Gris Saint Anne' marble top, retaining the luminous walnut patina, original handles and escutcheons. Please note the wonderfully shallow proportions of this commode. Area of Paris, circa 1880.
Please note: this item is due in Melbourne in mid 2026.
Condition report: Complete and in good, unrestored condition. An old crack to the marble top (that can be repaired in Melbourne).
Dimensions: 110 x 47 cm, height 91 cm.
