A large pair of fine mid-19th century French Napoleon III period, Louis XIV style, bronze 'chenet' table lamps, each decorated with as a Classical style baluster above a plinth decorated with a lion's head and clawed feet. The bronze surfaces retain a nicely worn and glowing finish. These chenets lamps have been sympathetically electrified as table lamps, using gold silk electrical cords, with cord-switches. The original chenets are from the area of Paris, circa 1870.
