A plaster statuette of 'la Frileuse' (the chilly woman), after the famous allegory of winter by French artist Jean-Antoine Houdon, created in circa 1784, which depicts Winter as a young woman shivering while trying to put a cloak on herself. Area of Paris, circa 1900.
