An 18th century French Provincial, Louis XV style, two-door solid walnut Armoire fitted with a 'chapeau de gendarme' pediment, the facade decorated with haut-relief carved 'rocaille' motifs and with delicately carved oak leaves and acorns. An overflowing basket of flowers sits at the centre of the pelmet, as an allegory for abundance. Retaining all of the original handles, escutcheons, lock and key. Typical of the style of Provence in the South East of France, circa 1760.
