An 18th century French glazed majolica 'Passoire' platter designed to be used a sieve in a kitchen, to drain liquids from solid food. Ideally also used as a fruit platter, the holes enabling air around the fruit and therefore to fend mold. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1780.
Condition report: In good and original condition, showing wear in keeping with its age and use.
