An 18th century French Louis XVI period solid oak commode of wonderful 'horizontal' proportions. Sparsely decorated with typical Neoclassical designs including panelled drawer fronts and fluting, the stepped 'Gris Saint Anne' marble top above four drawers flanked by pilasters. Please note the the original ring handles and shield escutcheons. Area of Isle de France (Greater Paris), circa 1780.

Condition report: In very good and unrestored condition. Our workshop has given it a wax and buff.
