A set of six French Provincial, Louis XV style, carved oak ladder-back chairs, each chair fitted with a drop-in woven rush seat, the top rails and the front rails decorated with haut relief carved seashell motifs, standing on elegant cabriole legs. These dining chairs are lightweight, comfortable, and sturdy everyday-use chairs. Area of Southern France, circa 1930.

Condition report: In good, as found condition. Some of the chair seats have later-replaced woven rush.

Dimensions: Width 44 cm, height of seats 46 cm, height of backrests 97 cm.
