A mid 19th century French Napoleon III period gilt bronze five light candelabrum, in the shape of a Classic tripod plinth, sprouting a stylised plant, scrolled the branches with leaves and flowers. The fire-gilt finish has nicely faded over time, retaining a warm glowing patina. Fitted with the original handmade silk lampshades. Area of Paris, circa 1870.
Condition report: In good and original condition, fully rewired to Australian safety standards using a gold silk electrical cord.
