A 19th century French Louis XVI style, solid mahogany, gilt brass and Carrara marble commode of three drawers, of simple, Neoclassical elegance. Please note the fine gilt brass mouldings offsetting the mahogany tones and the elegant, raised and fretted gilt brass 'Bouillotte' gallery on the edges of the top. Retaining the original 'ring' handles and escutcheons. Please note the quality and the harmonious proportions of this piece, typical of the fine cabinetmaking workshops in the Parisian 'Faubourg Saint Antoine' district. Area of Paris, circa 1930.
Condition report: In very good and original, unrestored condition. Requiring polishing of timbers and of gilt brass elements. Please feel free to ask for a restoration quote from our workshop.
