An early 20th century French Louis XVI style walnut-patinated beechwood "Bergère en Marquise" armchair of Parisian elegance nd decorated in Neoclassical style, with carved haut relief mouldings, standing on elegantly turned and fluted legs. Upholstered in a French brocade, which is in good condition. A Marquise armchair extra width was originally designed for comfort, and this is a perfect piece to curl up in, with a book. Area of Paris, circa 1930.
