A large, hand-knotted and cut-pile, pure wool Kashan Persian tribal rug decorated with traditional stylised floral patterns and with a central medallion, the colours of the rug in tones of red, ochre, blue and rust tonalities. Area of Kashan, Central Persia, circa 1960. 

Condition report: In good and original condition, showing only slight wear in keeping with its age and use.
