A large, 18th century French Louis XV period solid walnut and upholstered Fauteuil Cabriolet armchair of tall and broad proportions, the seat and the 'à la reine' backrest retaining the original tapestries specifically made for this armchair. Elegantly carved and very comfortable to sit in. Area of Paris, circa 1760.
Condition report: In excellent, as found condition, requiring waxing and buffing. The upholstery stuffing, the covering fabrics and tapestries are in very good condition.
Dimensions: Width 71 cm, depth 58 cm, height of back rest 102 cm, height of seat 42 cm.
